What We Do

As the Children Trust Michigan's designated agency for the prevention of child abuse and neglect for Washtenaw County, our mission is to stop victimization before it happens. We offer educational services and programs to all walks of life in our community; children, teens, parents, community members, and youth-serving professionals throughout Washtenaw County are our partners in the journey toward a safer tomorrow. Do our programs speak to you? Do they meet the goals of your mission toward a safer tomorrow for our kids? Want to help educate folks in your community? We can help!

The Challenges For Youth Today

These realities are grim, but they don't have to be the truth forever. Washtenaw Area Council for Children is addressing these problems head on - fighting for the safety of all children. Help us out. There are many things you can do to make a difference in the lives of our children. See our program list below to learn how we're keeping kids and teens safe every day.
